While staying in Elkader, we hope you will choose our Queen Anne Victorian built in 1892 by local businessman Henry Schoch and lovingly renovated by current owners, Mark and Brenda McConnell. It will grace your presence with its magnificent woodwork, Goregous open oak staircase, nine original stained glass windows, and a wrap around front porch on which to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Clayton County. The front parlor with it's fireplace or the gathering room are the perfect spots to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. We are conveniently located with-in walking distance of Historic Downtown Elkader's many retail shops, restaurants, and theaters.
If you are looking for an intimate "get-away" or a large family gathering, we will strive to make your stay away from home both comfortable and relaxing. For Large groups or Holiday gatherings, ask us about renting the entire house and enjoy using our large country kitchen. Catered events such as 'Showers" are also welcomed.
" Come, stay and enjoy the best that Elkader has to offer. "
